Eddie Mansell Kelsey - Times Record News

Saturday, July 22, 2017, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point. Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, July 24, 2017 at Crestview Memorial Park in Wichita Falls, TX. Eddie Almeda Ewing was born September 25, 1923 in Wichita Falls, TX, to the late Eddie Lee Ewing and Essie Almeda Hulan.  She was raised in Wichita Falls where she attended school. Eddie married Roy Nelson Mansell in Wichita Falls in April of 1941 and he preceded her in death March 4, 1949. She then married J.C. Kelsey in July of 1950, they lived in Wichita Falls where they raised their four children, before he passed away in 1978. Eddie was employed as a beautician, operating a salon and working as a nurses’ aide for many years. She later married James Parker in 1981, and they lived in Iowa Park. After he passed, Eddie married Andrew Arrington in 2002, both preceded her in death. She moved to Edgewood in 2007 to live with her family. Eddie was a member of the Good Hope Baptist Church in Edgewood. She is preceded in death by her husbands; five brothers and six sisters; son, Nelson Eddie Mansell and two daughters in law, Lacy and Connie Mansell. Eddie is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Elsey and husband, Walter of Edgewood, TX; sons, Dennis Ray Mansell and wife, Melinda of Portland, TX and Roger Wayne Mansell and wife, Sadie of Mesquite, TX; twelve grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, eleven great great-grandchildren and numerous other family and friends. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Friday, July 21, 2017, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.
